Trigen-Trenton provides centrally produced hot water and chilled water to approximately 35 commercial, governmental, institutional and hospitality customers in the central business district of Trenton and also cogenerates electricity. The hot water and chilled water distribution systems extends more than 15 miles. The system has a total hot water capacity in excess of 320,000 MBTU per hour, and chilled water capacity of approximately 11,200 tons, and electrical power production of 12 megawatts.

Major customers on the Trenton system include many State of New Jersey buildings and facilities.
